What is Commercial Broadband Wireless?
Commercial Broadband Wireless is our standard business-grade Wireless (Microwave) link. It is ideal for small to medium enterprises looking for a solution in an area where there is no Fibre coverage or requiring a fail-over/ backup link.
Commercial Broadband Wireless carries a contention ratio of 1 : 3. This means that at any point there are three business customers connecting to the high-site equipment/ sector. It is not a dedicated link. This could potentially affect top speeds being reached.
Commercial Broadband Wireless is also an asynchronous/ asymmetrical service. This means that the download and upload speeds are not the same. The upload speed on a selected package is approximately 50% of the download speed.
What is Corporate Dedicated Wireless?
Corporate Dedicated Wireless is our premium business-grade Wireless (Microwave) link. It is ideal for medium to large enterprises looking for a solution in an area where there is no Fibre coverage or requiring a fail-over/ backup link.
Corporate Dedicated Wireless carries a contention ratio of 1 : 1. This means that you receive your own dedicated equipment/ sector on the high-site. It is a dedicated link.
Corporate Dedicated Wireless is a synchronous/ symmetrical service. This means that the download and upload speeds are the same.
What type of IP address is issued?
1 Public IP is included. Please note that additional IP’s are available on request on the Dedicated Corporate Wireless service.
Is a Router included?
A Router is not included in the monthly Internet service fee. A separate quote will be provided for a managed Router. Pricing is based on the speed of the link ordered.
